It was not the most auspicious start.

S's dad braved the thorns and nettles, and carefully cradled his first hard-won bramble.

Actually, I stretch the truth a bit. This pie was from A&C's previous bramble picking expedition. C made bramble crumble from ours the next day. Can't have too many brambles, but it's possible to have too many nettles...
It was a lovely, relaxing weekend and we were very well-fed! Thanks, everyone xo
